Many Hands Whisky Collaboration

A landmark collaboration between two Yorkshire distilleries.

We were proud to help launch the collaboration between Cooper King Distillery and Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, creating the visual identity and packaging for a landmark release that celebrates two of Yorkshire's most respected whisky makers. The result was Many Hands – the first Yorkshire blended malt whisky and the first whisky born from an open collaboration between two English distilleries, with a limited run of just 1,922 individually numbered bottles.

This concept brings together the distinct visual identities of both distilleries through a layered design system that blends recognisable assets into one cohesive expression. By combining textures, graphics and visual cues from each brand, the identity creates something entirely new while remaining authentic to both.

Simple, understated typography allows these layered elements to take centre stage, giving the pack depth, character and a strong sense of craft. The result is a bold yet considered identity that captures the spirit of collaboration through authentic storytelling and a shared passion for pushing boundaries.

Hidden throughout the artwork are a series of subtle design details that celebrate the landscapes connecting both distilleries. Contour lines reference the Howardian Hills, the outline of Ingleborough is woven into the composition, the Flamborough coastline appears within the graphics, while the River Ouse is picked out in gold – rewarding closer inspection and adding another layer of storytelling.

Inspired by the story behind the whisky itself, every element of the design celebrates the idea that the best things are created by many hands. The result is a pack that tells the story of collaboration through craft, bringing together two Yorkshire distilleries, their landscapes and their shared passion for creating something entirely new.
